ELUSIVE ECHOES:
EXPLORING POETIC SOUNDSCAPES
A 3-poster series for the imagined poetry reading event Elusive Echoes: Exploring Poetic Soundscapes. Each poster reflects the identity of a poet/musician: Patti Smith, Charmaine Lee, and JJJJJerome Ellis. I found that the poets shared a passion for raw expression of their inner selves, and chose to focus on this in my work.




WORD PLAY

Expirimenting with physcial play, altering letter and word forms until they are nearly unrecognizeable.





DIGITAL SKETCHING

Placing the writings of the poets into concentric circles representing soundwaves, records, and movement, as well as the raw emotions emanating from the poets.



DESIGN SYSTEM

A bright color for each poet, symbolizing their unique personal energy. A compressed typeface, showing the rushed way words force themsleves out.
